Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before placing an order with Rural Gates Australia. By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Products & Services

Rural Gates Australia specialises in the design and fabrication of fully welded steel gates for rural, lifestyle, and agricultural properties. Our products include custom-made gates, gate accessories, and related items.

All gates are manufactured in Bundaberg, Queensland, and built to suit individual customer specifications unless otherwise stated.

2. Custom Orders

All gate orders are custom-made and built to order based on your provided measurements, style choices, and finish selections. As such, we are unable to accept cancellations, refunds, or exchanges once manufacturing has commenced, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Please ensure all specifications are correct before confirming your order.

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and may be subject to change without notice. A 50% deposit is required to confirm all custom gate orders, with the balance payable prior to dispatch or delivery.

We accept payments via bank transfer and other methods as specified on our invoice or website. Orders will not proceed to fabrication until the deposit has been received.

4. Lead Times

Typical lead times for custom gates range from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on order volume, design complexity, and finish. Estimated timeframes will be provided at the time of order confirmation but may vary due to material availability or other factors outside our control.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We offer delivery across Australia via third-party freight providers or by direct delivery where available. Shipping costs will be quoted separately based on location and gate size.

Once a product has left our premises, we are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss in transit. We will, however, assist in resolving any delivery issues wherever possible.

6. Refunds, Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our gates, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind. For non-custom items (e.g. latches and hardware), returns may be accepted if the item is unused, in original condition, and returned within 7 days at the buyer’s expense.

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if the product is faulty, unsafe, or not as described. Please see our Refund & Warranty Policy for full details.

7. Warranty

All custom gates include a 10-year structural warranty, covering the integrity of the steel frame and welds under normal use.

This warranty excludes:

Surface rust or patina development (especially on raw or sealed finishes)
Damage from incorrect installation, impact, misuse, or environmental exposure
Cosmetic issues, paint fading, or sealant wear over time

8. Care & Maintenance

Some finishes, such as raw steel and patina sealed with Penetrol, are designed to weather naturally. These finishes may require periodic maintenance and reapplication of sealants. Surface rust and colour variations are natural and not considered faults.

9. Liabilities

Rural Gates Australia is not liable for:

Damage caused by improper installation or modification
Issues arising from measurements provided by the customer
Loss of business, revenue, or use related to product delays or issues

Our total liability is limited to the value of the product supplied.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, and content on this website are the property of Rural Gates Australia and may not be used, copied, or reproduced without written permission.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from your use of our site or purchase of our products will be subject to the jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
