Refund Policy

Australian Consumer Law

In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product is:

Faulty or unsafe
Significantly different from what was described
Not fit for purpose

This applies to both custom and non-custom items if the issue is a manufacturing fault or failure to meet consumer guarantees.

Please note:

Surface rust, discolouration, and natural patina development are expected with raw or sealed finishes and are not considered defects.
Our Patina Finish is sealed with Penetrol, which is a temporary treatment and may require reapplication as part of general maintenance.
We do not offer refunds or warranty coverage for wear and tear, environmental exposure, or incorrect installation by third parties.

10-Year Structural Warranty – Gates

All steel gates fabricated by Rural Gates Australia come with a 10-year structural warranty covering the integrity of the gate frame and welds under normal use.

This warranty does not cover:

Surface rust, corrosion, or weathering of raw or sealed finishes
Cosmetic damage or fading due to environmental exposure
Damage caused by improper use, incorrect installation, or unauthorised modifications

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with your proof of purchase, details of the issue, and supporting photos. We’ll assess your claim in accordance with the ACL and work with you to resolve any eligible concerns.

Returns - Change of Mind

All our gates are made to order and custom-built to suit your property’s specifications. As such, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind on any gate orders.

Please ensure all measurements, gate configurations, and design choices are correct before confirming your order. By proceeding with payment, you accept that the order will be manufactured as per the approved specifications.
