What’s Covered – 10-Year Structural Warranty
We offer a 10-year structural warranty on all custom steel gate frames fabricated by Rural Gates Australia. This warranty covers:

Structural integrity of the welded gate frame

Weld failure under normal usage conditions

Faults in workmanship related to the frame fabrication
Our gates are built tough — this warranty reflects our commitment to long-lasting performance in rural, farm, and acreage settings.
What’s Not Covered
The following are not covered under this warranty:

Surface rust or patina development (especially on raw or Penetrol-sealed finishes)

General weathering, oxidation, or discolouration of finishes

Damage caused by incorrect installation, modification, or impact

Misuse, neglect, or environmental exposure beyond standard conditions

Hardware components (e.g. latches, hinges), unless specified under separate warranty
Please note: Raw steel and patina finishes are intentionally untreated and will develop rust over time — this is a natural aesthetic feature, not a defect.
Installation Disclaimer
This warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from third-party or DIY installation. We recommend installation by a qualified professional to ensure optimal performance and alignment.
Warranty Period
Your 10-year structural warranty begins on the date of delivery or collection of your gate. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Making a Warranty Claim
To lodge a warranty claim, please contact us via email and include the following:

Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)

Description of the issue

Supporting photos of the affected area(s)
We’ll assess your claim and respond within 7 business days. If a structural fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the gate (or affected section) at our discretion.
Warranty Limitations
Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the faulty gate or component. We are not responsible for any costs related to removal, reinstallation, freight, or incidental damages.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
